An example: Four boilers, 5 MW
For a leading manufacturer of industrial abrasives, Ferroli designed a thermal plant with four TP3 Cond boilers. The total installed capacity is 5 MW, and according to Ferroli the efficiency exceeds 106 %.
The plant was built around the company’s operational requirements. The aim was to combine high performance, energy optimisation and long-term reliability in a single solution. According to Ferroli, the result is lower energy consumption, better plant performance and continuous, dependable operation.
Four boilers instead of one large unit also add flexibility. At low demand only part of the plant runs, and servicing one boiler does not stop the heat supply.
TP3 Cond: Condensing three-pass boiler
TP3 Cond is the condensing model in Ferroli’s range of industrial hot water boilers:
- Three effective flue passes and condensing, so more of the energy in the flue gas is recovered.
- For gas and gas oil. The boiler is used with a separate burner.
- Efficiency up to 106 % according to Ferroli.
- Design pressure 6 bar.
Ferroli’s range of industrial hot water boilers
Besides TP3 Cond, Ferroli offers several series of three-pass boilers for gas and oil, with a square or round boiler body:
- TP3 LN: 70–3,200 kW, low NOx, efficiency up to 95 %.
- Prextherm RSW N and RSH N (square): from 92 to 1,890 kW, efficiency up to 90 %.
- Prextherm RSW N and RSH N (round): from 1,850 to 6,000 kW.
- Prextherm T3G F and T3G N: the largest boilers, from 1,200 up to 15,000 kW.
All boilers have a design pressure of 6 bar. Higher pressure is available on request for Prextherm RSW N and RSH N.
Ferroli names hospitals, schools, district heating and industrial processes as typical applications.
Boiler and burner belong together
