Every oil burner has one component that everything else depends on, and it is usually a Suntec. The fuel pump is the heart of the system: it draws oil from the tank, passes it through an integrated filter, raises it to the pressure the nozzle demands, and meters out a steady flow to the flame. Regulate that pressure poorly and the spray pattern falls apart; interrupt that flow and the burner stops. It is quiet, unglamorous work — and it is the difference between a burner that runs and one that sits in lockout.
The J-series covers the common ground. Single-stage pumps suit one-pipe gravity or lift-and-fall installations, while two-stage versions handle two-pipe systems where oil is drawn from a lower tank and the surplus returned. Pressure regulation across the range runs from 10 to 20 bar (150–300 psi), which spans the nozzle pressures most light-oil burners are set to. The pump is rated for medium oil #4 and lighter, uses an NPTF thread, and is made in France — and it takes light heating oil, gasoil and HVO without modification.
What makes Suntec so useful as a spare is its ubiquity. The same pump family appears inside burners from a long list of different manufacturers, which means one well-chosen shelf item can keep several different machines running. For marine and offshore operators, that commonality is exactly what you want: fewer distinct spares to carry, and a far better chance that the pump you need is already aboard or already with us.
Because the details matter — burner make, one-pipe versus two-pipe, and pump rotation all determine the correct reference — we do not publish a fixed model table here. Instead, tell us the burner and the system, and we will identify the right Suntec from the catalogue. Where a pump has been superseded, we can often still trace the original, which is precisely the kind of long-tail support our Nordic and project customers rely on. Contact us at info@arnenielsen.dk.
