Arne Nielsen A/S is a Danish, family-owned distributor of burners, boilers, spare parts and accessories for the energy and marine sectors. The company was founded in 1969 and carries over 100 premium brands within plumbing and heating — with activity in Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, and globally within agriculture, mobile heating, the marine industry and utilities.

Arne Nielsen A/S was founded by Arne Nielsen and Rose-Marie Nielsen in 1969. The family business began as a local service company and later grew into a leading distributor in the energy sector with a focus on Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Today, the company operates throughout the Nordic region and in selected international markets for agriculture and marine.

Originally an official dealer of Danheat (Made in Denmark!), the company became the general agent for Oilon Oy (Made in Finland!) in the eighties.

For years, the compact Novox burner was the most popular burner on the market, thanks to a simple one-tool-fixes-everything design developed by Arne Nielsen himself in close cooperation with Oilon. The burners were sold in partnership with, among others, Olieselskabet Danmark (OK).

Since the nineties, it has been a distributor that not only sold Oilon’s complete product range in several areas, but also marketed a large portfolio of spare parts to local and international wholesalers and installers.

In the 2000s, the company became the general agent for the Korean marine manufacturer Kangrim and today distributes more than 60 brands within the marine industry.

In the 2020s, industrial heat pumps from Lämpöässä (an Oilon company) were introduced to the Danish market.

Today, the company markets a very large programme of over 100 premium brands within energy, including Oilon, Riello, Ferroli, Kroll, Herrmann, Intercal, InPro, Thermobile, ThermoGroup, Danfoss, Siemens, Honeywell, Suntec and Steinen — as well as a wide range of accessory brands such as Black Mamba, Fermit, Javac and Unilite. In addition, there are several distributions of filters, valves and fittings from, among others, Oventrop, Pintossi+C, Enolgas, KNOCKS and RAPA.

Since the passing of founder Arne Nielsen in 2022, the company has continued as a family-owned limited company.

The company has a strategic focus on a ‘last man standing’ strategy in the oil burner industry — with sales of burners and boilers and mobile heating, and as a preferred partner for spare parts in the energy sector for the Nordic and Baltic countries, and for agriculture and the marine sector worldwide.

With its first-mover HVO and hybrid heating projects, Arne Nielsen A/S is part of the green transition in all active markets. Most recently, exclusive vertical solar + BESS renewable energy solutions have been added to the programme.
