Oventrop — clean, deaerated oil for a reliable burner start
Oventrop is a German manufacturer of heating-oil filters, deaerators and safety fittings that sit between the tank and the burner. Its best-known units — the Toc-Duo-3 combined filter and deaerator, the Toc-Uno deaerator, and the Oilpur single- and two-pipe filters — remove particles and air before the oil ever reaches the pump. The Oilstop range adds anti-siphon and solenoid valves that keep an elevated or below-deck tank from gravity-feeding oil where it should not go. On a vessel, a rig or a remote Nordic installation, clean and correctly deaerated oil is the precondition for a burner that starts on demand and runs stably. Air pockets and grit are the classic causes of nuisance lockouts, and Oventrop’s fittings are built to eliminate both. The programme is HVO-ready, so it carries straight over as fleets and sites move to renewable diesel and low-sulphur fuels.
