Most oil-burner lockouts are not caused by the burner. They are caused by what reaches it. A pocket of air drawn in on the suction line, or a few particles of grit lifted off the bottom of an old tank, is enough to interrupt the flame and trip the safety circuit. On a vessel that pitches and rolls, or an offshore installation where the tank sits well away from the burner, both problems are amplified. This is exactly the gap Oventrop’s fittings are designed to close — before the fuel ever reaches the pump.
The Toc-Duo-3 tackles both at once: it filters the oil and removes entrained air in a single compact unit, which is why it is the natural choice for single-pipe conversions where a return line is not available. Where deaeration alone is needed, the Toc-Uno does the same job on its own. The Oilpur filters handle straightforward one- and two-pipe duties, with sintered-plastic inserts down to 50–75 µm or stainless-steel elements for coarser, more robust filtration. Choosing the right insert for the fuel and the installation is what keeps the burner fed with a clean, steady, bubble-free flow.
The Oilstop valves address a different risk. When a tank sits above the burner — or below deck with the burner higher up — gravity can siphon oil through the line even when the pump is off. The Oilstop V anti-siphon valve and the Oilstop MV solenoid valve stop that from happening, protecting both the installation and the surrounding space. It is a small fitting that does a large safety job, and one that inspectors on marine and offshore work look for specifically.
The whole programme is HVO-ready, so nothing needs to change as operators move to renewable diesel and low-sulphur heating oils. For our Nordic, marine and project customers, the practical value is in the details we keep on the shelf: Siku filter inserts, Ofix-Oil fittings, brass bayonet tank caps and complete replacement units, including some older references that are increasingly hard to find. Clean oil in, stable start out — that is the whole point of the range. Contact us at info@arnenielsen.dk.
